The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture in Arrecife hosted the opening ceremony of the exhibition by the artist Patrick Germanier yesterday afternoon. Dozens of people attended the event called "Writing a Body", which will be available until December 30 and will try to show the importance of caring for the planet using ecological materials.
The first deputy mayor and councilor for Culture, Festivities and Local Police, Alfredo Mendoza, highlighted the "importance" of hosting this type of event in the House of Culture. "Each artist has their own way of expressing their art. We recently opened the Pepe Betancort exhibition and now it is Patrick Germanier's turn to delight us with his works, in which he highlights the value of nature."
"Patrick Germanier's works embody the absolute value of work and human effort, rejecting economic gain," declared Elena Solis, member of Ecologists in Action of Madrid and environmental lawyer.
Writing a Body.- Patrick Germanier's exhibition is another way of conceiving, perceiving and analyzing reality. The Swiss artist always showed his concern for the future of the planet. For this reason, in recent months he has developed his works in collaboration with organizations such as Ecologists in Action, who were represented during the inauguration. It is the visitors who must be able to "weave a texture of reality," the artist highlighted, so that each work can be interpreted in various ways.
Until December 30, any visitor can go to the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture and enjoy the exhibition of the Swiss artist, who has peacefully highlighted the great problems that threaten the future of the planet.
