The fishing village of Caleta de Caballo, in the municipality of Teguise, experienced one of its most special nights last Friday within the festive program of La Lapa, the expected and already traditional Noche de Parrandas.

Under a clear sky and with the sea breeze as an ally and accomplice, the town square and its adjacent streets were completely filled, welcoming hundreds of people who did not want to miss one of the most popular events of the Lanzarote summer.

Among neighbors and visitors, there was a vibrant, festive and colorful atmosphere, although this time with a particularity: white was the main protagonist. The festival commission, which year after year works diligently to keep the traditions of the town alive, had proposed that everyone come dressed in white, a choice that brought a touch of unity and elegance to the night.

In addition, the 'Most original headdress' contest was held, an initiative that awakened the creativity of the attendees and gave rise to moments as fun as they were emotional. The three prizes went to the first prize to 'Los Burgados', the second 'La Nasa' and the third went to 'La Aulaga'. The contest had a high participation and a dedicated audience that celebrated each proposal with enthusiasm.

The music, as it could not be otherwise, was the soul of the night. The parrandas 'Son del Norte, Los Valles y Los Gurfines', enlivened every corner with their festive repertoire, making young and old alike dance and sing. The energy did not wane for a second, and the musicians gave it their all on stage.

Late into the night, the local DJ Ariel took over the musical relay, transforming the verbena into an authentic dance floor. His selection of rhythms put the finishing touch to a magical, participatory night deeply rooted in the popular identity of Caleta de Caballo.

The Fiestas de La Lapa are consolidated, year after year, as one of the attractions of the summer in Lanzarote, and this Noche de Parrandas has only confirmed that tradition, when lived with passion and community, always finds new ways to shine.
