More than 750 dancers will participate in the XIII International Dance Day Festival in Tías

A total of 18 schools from the island will showcase their dances this Saturday starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Pavilion

The dance festival presentation in Tías

More than 750 dancers from 18 schools in Lanzarote will showcase their art tomorrow at the XIII International Dance Day Festival, which will take place this Saturday starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Pavilion of Tías. This festival, the first and original one celebrated in Lanzarote, gathers a large audience and is free with limited capacity.

The Tías City Council and the Beatrice Senent Modern Dance-Jazz Fusion School organize this event, in which other entities collaborate and most of the dance schools on the island participate. Both the mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, encourage citizens to continue supporting the festival, which will be presented by Ruiz Rodríguez.

The groups participating are the dance school Modern Jazz Fusion Beatrice Senent, Lanzarote Baila, Tania Marcer School of Performing Arts, Dance Vibes, Top Katz, MT Dance School, Daniel de la Rosa Dance School, Gaida Folklore Group, Báilame Dance School, Hayati Dance Studio By Alesa Cabrera, Xtrem Up Dance Studio, Glowing Stars, Salitre Artistic Gymnastics Club, Celia Medina Emotional Dance Studio, Marcos and Ainara Dances Studios, Samira Rif Arab Dance School, Aires del Sur Academy and Anmy Rodríguez Dance School.

As explained in March during the public presentation of the festival, tomorrow both teachers and students will dance, without age limit and from 4 years old. It is expected that the pavilion's track will be completely filled with a dedicated audience willing to enjoy rhythm and movement through modern dance, jazz, salsa, bollywood, Irish, Arabic dance, commercial dance, flamenco, contemporary, sports dance, classical, urban, chachachá, country and Canarian folklore.
