Menudos Timplistas closed this Sunday the 2024 cultural program scheduled at the Casa-Museo del Timple.
At 12:00 noon, the mayoress of the Teguise City Council, Olivia Duque, the Councilor for Culture, Javier Díaz, the commissioner of the Casa-Museo, Benito Cabrera, family members and lovers of traditional music gathered to enjoy and support the 25 students and 7 teachers. All of them participated one more year in the closing, an activity that is highly anticipated, especially by the students, who are very excited to go on stage and offer their work to their family and friends.
This year the Municipal School of Tías directed by Professor José Vicente Pérez, the Toñín Corujo Music School directed by Professor Toñín, the Gabriel Cubas Music Classroom directed by Professor Gabriel Cuba, the Ivanhoe Rodríguez Music School directed by Ivanhoe Rodríguez and the Timple Workshop of Los Llanos de Aridane and Tijarafe directed by professors Saúl Camacho and Francisco Rodríguez participated.
Every year teachers and students give it their all, receiving the applause of the public as a reward. Before concluding, the mayoress Olivia Duque and the commissioner Benito Cabrera highly valued the performances of the students and teachers, committing to continue working and preparing the program for the next year 2025.
