Marcos took first prize at the San Bartolomé Song Festival, held last Friday at the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park, thanks to his brilliant performance of Lay Me Down. Second place went to Carlos, while third place was taken by Indy, in an evening where talent and emotion were the protagonists.
Organized by the San Bartolomé City Council, under the direction of Tatiana Niz and Ayoze Medina, the festival brought together an enthusiastic audience that filled the tent installed in the park. The presenter Carmen Nieves Pérez hosted the gala, which started at 9:00 p.m. with the presentation of the jury, women and men with ample experience in festivals and galas such as Inma Sepúlveda, Keysi, Raúl Maro and Juan López, with Antonio González, an official of the San Bartolomé City Council, as secretary.
The 16 participants, previously selected in casting where they accepted the bases of the same, demonstrated on stage their effort and passion, receiving the unconditional support of family and friends who did not stop applauding during each performance. The singers gave it their all in order to achieve their dream of being crowned as the winner.
While the jury deliberated, the gala featured special performances by Selene, winner of the past edition, and Arima, accompanied by the magnificent and young ballet MTDANCE, who sparked a great ovation from the public.
Subsequently, Antonio González, secretary of the jury, handed over the corresponding envelope to the presenter, who in turn invited the participants to come on stage, where they were given a Diploma for their participation.
The mayor of the San Bartolomé City Council, Isidro Pérez, and the Councilor for Festivities, Estefanía Luzardo, were in charge of presenting the awards to the winners.
The perfect ending was put by Marcos, performing again the song with which he was crowned as the great winner of the night.
