EMEC Festival returns to Lanzarote on November 7th with Marco Faraone as the main headliner of a new edition that will take place at the Castillo de San José, in Arrecife. The Italian DJ and producer, a benchmark in the international electronic scene, will lead a lineup that will also feature Chelina Manuhutu, De La Swing, Francisco Allendes, and Vito (UK), in addition to local artists Dustyfoldr and Iva Dive. The event will once again combine electronic music, culture, and sustainability under the production of GreenWorld. Tickets are available at www.emecfestival.com.
Marco Faraone's presence is one of the main attractions of this edition. The Italian artist has consolidated an international career particularly linked to techno and house, both through his record productions and his performances at some of the leading clubs and festivals on the electronic scene. His versatility behind the decks and his ability to move between different facets of dance music have made him a regular name on the international circuit. His participation once again places Lanzarote on the map of major electronic events and brings one of its main artistic draws to the lineup.
Joining Faraone will be Chelina Manuhutu, a Dutch DJ who has developed a solid international career in house and tech house. Her style, characterized by dynamic sets and a special connection with the dance floor, has led her to participate in numerous reference events and stages. The lineup will also feature De La Swing, an artist closely linked to the Spanish electronic scene and to house and tech house sounds, with a career tied to specialized clubs and festivals.
The international lineup is completed by Francisco Allendes, a Chilean DJ and producer integrated into international electronic music circuits, and Vito (UK), who will bring his own sonic perspective to a day conceived around different expressions of contemporary electronic music.
EMEC will also reserve a prominent space for artists linked to the Archipelago. Dustyfoldr and Iva Dive will represent local talent in a lineup that seeks to establish connections between the Canarian scene and names developing their careers internationally. In the case of Iva Dive, their inclusion in the lineup comes after winning the DJ Contest, an initiative with which the festival facilitates the incorporation of new proposals and offers visibility opportunities to those starting to make their way in the sector.
Beyond its musical dimension, EMEC maintains its own identity linked to the concepts of Ecology, Music, Electronics, and Culture, the four words that give the project its name. Since its inception, the festival has opted for a format that transcends DJ sets to propose a meeting between artistic creation, culture, and environmental commitment.
In this regard, the Castillo de San José once again plays a fundamental role in the proposal. Arrecife's emblematic heritage site offers a unique setting for an experience that connects the sounds of current electronics with the landscape, history, and cultural identity of Lanzarote. The choice of this enclave also reinforces the desire to integrate musical activity into representative spaces of the island's heritage.
Sustainability constitutes another of EMEC's conceptual pillars. The project incorporates environmental awareness into its approach and advocates for the need to reconcile the celebration of cultural events with the protection of the environment. A philosophy especially linked to Lanzarote, whose identity is closely related to its natural and landscape values.
With this new edition, EMEC Festival aims to continue strengthening its presence on the cultural and musical calendar of the Canary Islands, combining international figures such as Marco Faraone with artists from the local scene and a proposal that connects electronic music, heritage, and sustainability.
