Malú put the finishing touch on the Fiestas de Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores this Tuesday with a concert in Mancha Blanca in which she displayed all the grit, vocal power, and ability to connect with the audience that have marked her career.
The artist presented her ‘Quince Tour’ on stage, a journey through different stages of her career in which there were no shortage of songs that are part of the musical memory of several generations. An intense and emotional live performance with which Malú turned the closing of Los Dolores into one of the great musical nights of these festivities.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, highlighted that “Los Dolores once again demonstrate that they are one of the great meeting points of Lanzarote. They are tradition, identity, and devotion, but also culture and music. Being able to close this edition with an artist of Malú's career and strength has been a magnificent closing for festivities that we feel are our own throughout the Island”.
The concert had the involvement of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism of Lanzarote, the Tinajo City Council, and the Government of the Canary Islands, along with the work of the organization and the different teams involved in its development.
The Cabildo de Lanzarote particularly values the coordination maintained between the administrations, the organization, the technical teams, and the different security and emergency services to face an event of these characteristics and to allow the public to enjoy the program in an atmosphere of celebration and coexistence.
Betancort wanted to thank “the work of all the people who have made Los Dolores possible: from those who have been working for weeks on organization and production to the security and emergency forces and services, healthcare personnel, technicians, workers, and volunteers. Behind festivities of this magnitude there are many people whose work is often unseen, but it is essential”.
The Fiestas de Los Dolores have once again turned Mancha Blanca into a meeting point for Lanzaroteans and visitors during several days in which tradition, crafts, folklore, devotion, and music have coexisted, reinforcing the insular character of one of Lanzarote's most deeply rooted celebrations.
With Malú on stage, Los Dolores bid farewell to their musical programming in the only way an artist of her caliber knows how: with strength, emotion, and a voice capable of reaching the audience from the first song to the last. A closing befitting one of the biggest events on the Island's festive calendar.
