Memorias de la tierra reflects, above all, the unquestionable absolute dedication of Los Campesinos in the conservation of the music, songs and dances of Lanzarote folklore. Taking as its axis the life trajectory of the group throughout its six decades of existence, the documentary, produced by R2 Media Film, reflects the main historical moments experienced by the group.
The documentary is full of testimonies from the peasants themselves who have given and give life to the group, and shows the importance of the main musical reference that the island has had for more than half a century, both in the current historical context and in the time of its foundation, 60 years ago.
The screening of Memorias de la tierra will take place on December 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Theater Hall of the Multicines Atlántida. The documentary lasts 43 minutes, the entrance is free with prior reservation on the web of the group, and can be purchased from this Monday.
The presentation of the documentary is organized by Los Campesinos, within the extensive program of events that is being carried out throughout this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of its foundation in 1964, which has been sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Arrecife City Council, Government of the Canary Islands and Caja Siete, as well as the collaboration of the César Manrique Foundation, the Spínola Group, the Vega de Yuco winery and the Digital Memory of Lanzarote.
Los Campesinos de Lanzarote have extended an invitation to all people interested in the culture and traditional values of our island, to come and enjoy the screening of Memorias de la tierra.
