Alejandro Córdoba shone brightly at the Latin Awards 2025, held on Monday night, November 10, at the Infanta Isabel Theater in Madrid. The singer-songwriter, who resides in Lanzarote, took home the award for Best Vocal Performance in a Ballad for his song "Las señales que no vi," a self-composed piece that has won over both the jury and the public alike.
The song's music video, produced by the Lanzarote-based company Films Canarias and entirely shot on the island, showcases the archipelago's unique landscapes, becoming a true love letter to Lanzarote.
Visibly moved, Alejandro Córdoba expressed: "I am very excited and surprised that the jury has chosen me with my own song. With this opportunity, I can take the island of Lanzarote to every corner where my music reaches. This award gives me the energy to keep writing and singing about love."
The gala, hosted by Lucrecia, brought together major figures from the Ibero-American music scene. Among the awardees were De Santana, honored with the Golden Latin Talent Award for International Emerging Artist; Andy, recognized with the Golden Latin Award for Career Achievement as one of pop's most iconic voices; and Edurne, who received the Joaquín Hurtado Golden Latin Award for Career Achievement. Marisa Zafra was also honored for her work promoting young artists, as were Los del Guadalquivir, pioneers of sevillanas.
