The Lanzarote Literature Festival (FDLL) celebrates its third edition with a program that consolidates its proposal to turn the island into a living literary territory, where the word connects people, landscape and memory. Under the motto Letters of rofe and salt, the FDLL25 will bring together six top-level authors on a tour of the island's geography that this year is moving strongly towards the south.

Fernando Aramburu, Elizabeth Duval, Cristina Fernández Cubas, Sergio del Molino, Mónica Ojeda and Ignacio Martínez de Pisón are the main writers of this edition, which will start on Thursday, October 9 at the El Fondeadero Civic Center (Puerto del Carmen) with the inaugural talk by Aramburu.

Until December 3, the public will be able to attend these talks —moderated by the writer and director of the festival, Carlos Battaglini— that will delve into memory, identity, the body, the fantastic, the landscape or recent history from different perspectives and narrative styles.

In addition, the FDLL25 will continue its commitment to literary training with two creative writing workshops that will take place in Arrecife, taught by Matías Candeira (November 11) and Men Marías (November 18). Participation is free and prior registration is required on the web.

This year, Tías, Yaiza and Arrecife will be the venues for the festival, which reinforces its intention to tour the entire island as a literary map. In the words of the director, Carlos Battaglini: «The south of Lanzarote, literature and this amalgamation of consecrated, emerging and on-the-way talent will make the faithful attendees vibrate. After three years, our enthusiasm has not waned: we continue to believe in the island as a narrative cosmos that needs to be reinforced without rest».

All information on dates, authors, registration and news is available on the festival's official website and on its official Instagram account @festivaldeliteraturalanzarote.
