Plaza de Las Palmas hosted the Wolnosc string quartet concert

The Plaza de Las Palmas, next to the church of San Ginés, was the stage chosen by the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council, overseen by Rafael Juan González, to carry out the concert of the Wolnosc string quartet. This quartet is made up of four young musicians; two women and two men. These are: Karolina Andrzejczak, a violinist born in Warsaw; Judit Díaz, a cellist born in Barcelona; Julián Enciso, a violist born in Colombia; and Alfredo Reyes, a violinist born in Mexico.

At 12:30 the concert began with an audience eager to hear good music. The four young people surprised the attendees with their great interpretive quality, choosing for their first concert in Lanzarote a very select repertoire with works by Aleksandr Borodin (1833-1887), Antonín Dvorák (1841-1904), and Silvestre Revueltas (1899-1940). Great classics that are still valid today thanks also to extraordinary musicians like these four young people, who gave their all when interpreting each of these works. A concert in which the public was very attentive to each interpretive movement, and where the complicity of the young people also contributed as a weapon of conquest, which was intermingled with the musical notes emitted. At the conclusion of the concert, the public rewarded the young musicians with their applause, among whom was the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Rafael Juan González.

With these concerts, the Department of Culture intends to bring this musical genre closer to all those who do not have the opportunity to go to a theater, and also, make use of the spaces that the city of Arrecife has so that the public knows them and enjoys them.
