La Democracia hosts the exhibition 'Retazo de una vida II

On the occasion of the patron saint festivities in honor of San Pedro, the Democracia de Arrecife society inaugurated the exhibition 'Retazo de una vida II' last Thursday, by the Cultural Classroom 'La Destila' located at Calle La Porra 33 in Arrecife.

This is the first public event inaugurated by Luis Miranda Hernández, the new president of the centenary society. The exhibition, located in the entrance hall, has a total of 30 oil paintings, works carried out under the supervision of Professor Raquel Betancort, and a display case with various craft works. The president, in charge of welcoming the attendees, was very grateful and encouraged by the attendance of the public, among whom was the president of the Cultural Classroom La Destila, Mónica Salvatierra, who was in charge of explaining the content of the exhibition.

This exhibition is an activity in the Senior Classroom for people aged from 50 to 90 years old, which is open every day from Monday to Friday, interacting with the morning and afternoon hours where various activities are taught such as psychomotricity, memory, oil painting, sports, crafts, stationery, etc. President Luis Hernández announced that they are working on the program for the events of the San Pedro festivities.

A way to gradually reactivate cultural events in society. The event also included the presence of the First Deputy Mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio, and the Councilor for Culture, Abigail González, also willing to collaborate with the centenary society. Jacobo Lemes and Rosmen Quevedo were also present. The event included the collaboration of the Lanzarote Bartender Association, chaired by Wenceslao Gil, offering attendees a tasting of various cocktails.

The exhibition, open to the general public, can be visited from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. until July 13.
