The Cabildo of Lanzarote implements new special intercity public transport services on the occasion of the festivities of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, which will be held in Tinajo, from this Friday, September 13 to next Monday, September 16. The objective is to facilitate the access and return of attendees to the different events, including the pilgrimage, the fair and the religious celebrations.
The Minister of Transport, Domingo Cejas, highlights the importance of this reinforcement to allow the mobility of visitors, stating that "this special service responds to the need to guarantee a safe and comfortable transfer for those who travel to the Los Dolores festivities." "We want them to be able to enjoy the events, especially at night," he says.
Among the special services that will be enabled, a direct line from Arrecife to Mancha Blanca stands out, with additional departures at peak hours and a night reinforcement after the fair and other festive events.
Domingo Cejas explains that "the collaboration between the Cabildo, the Tinajo City Council and the transport companies has been fundamental to ensure that these services cover the needs of users efficiently and safely."
