The Municipal Theater of Tías could not be a better stage chosen by the popular Lanzarote comedian Kike Pérez to premiere his new show, Entradas ProhiVidas. The show with which the comedian begins a new year will take place on February 14, at 8:00 p.m., in the first theater in the Canary Islands to host one of his performances twelve years ago when he began his career as an artist. Tickets are already on sale on the online sales page.
After this premiere in Tías, Kike Pérez (Arrecife, 1985) will embark on an intense tour that will take him through most of the theaters in the Canary Islands during 2025, presenting this new show in which he faces, disoriented, a quarantine in which he questions, with a healthy sense of humor, the pulse of life, but taking the opportunity to turn his reasonable doubts into an emotional catharsis from which to benefit.
The next stages in which the conejero's show can be seen next year will be those of the El Sauzal Theater, which will soon put tickets on sale for its performance scheduled for February 22 (single performance at 8:30 p.m.) and the Guaires Cultural Center of Gáldar, on April 4 (single performance at 8:30 p.m.) for which tickets are already on sale on the online sales page.
The new tour of Entradas ProhiVidas by Kike Pérez is distributed by Multitrack, which celebrated 35 years of professional experience in 2024 promoting artistic proposals in the field of culture of the islands, and which was recently recognized with an award in the sixth edition of the Canarios de la Música Awards.
The abyss of forty
The Lanzarote comedian and actor wonders in this show if he has reached the top or an abyss once he has reached forty. Possibly many men will feel identified with the plot of this show, who, like Kike Pérez, have chosen to take the so-called midlife crisis to the absurd as an effective and fundamental resource to achieve survival, while making decisions to pretend that they are not as old as they really are. "You are too close to that impulsive and energetic young man you were the day before yesterday (and who you think you still are) and the man who goes to check his knees at the physiotherapist more often than usual," explains the synopsis of Entradas ProhiVidas.
The discourse proposed by Kike Pérez in Entradas ProhiVidas moves between these two vital waters, making obvious the simple play on words about one of the main concerns of men at this age: that they are not seen as old, and alluding to all those things that life is prohibiting them due to age or dignity. "Because forty is the new twenty, they are the Thursdays of age, right in the middle, the moment when you don't know if you feel like going out for a drink, or you are looking forward to Friday to rest," proposes the synopsis of the show.
The comedian is very excited about this start of the tour at the Municipal Theater of Tías, a stage that welcomed him for the first time on a distant December 28, 2012 when he decided to present himself in public as an artist with the show Las apariencias engañan. Everything started in Tías and, in his case, it could not be another day than the Day of the Holy Innocents. Professionally, last year was fruitful for Kike Pérez. In addition to his work on television, he traveled around the islands presenting two projects, his personal montage 'Siento Ochenta' and the musical 'Negras' which, under the direction of Tavi García, he starred in accompanied by a cast that includes Wendy Ruiz, David Harada and Saúl Romero.
The tour of the show Entradas ProhiVidas is sponsored by the El Centro de Guayadeque Restaurant and Cicar.
