The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, has highlighted that “in this parade we have seen that the citizens want Arrecife to bet on high-level parties. This carnival has achieved that. The massive presence of residents and visitors supports us to continue with this new direction that we are implementing in the city's festivities. Arrecife, as the capital, has demonstrated in 2024 that it can project high-level parties.”

For the mayor, the success of this year, the first carnivals organized by the Governing group he presides over, is evident in the programming, in police security, in the deployment of all the City Council staff, and above all, in the good atmosphere that has been experienced in our city.

For his part, the head of Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, affirms that the change of route has been a real success and emphasizes that we can already speak of a historical carnival. “It is time to thank all the people who have made this success possible. Thanks to all the groups for the work they have done to give visibility to what is already the third carnival in the Canary Islands, especially to the float makers because the parade is their opportunity to show off and they have offered us a true spectacle on wheels. Many thanks to the staff of the different departments of the City Council but, above all, to the team that works directly in the Department of Festivities. And thank you very much to all the citizens, to all the people for their response. We have fulfilled our objective, without all this work, participation and collaboration, it would have been impossible.”
