EMEC Festival returns to Lanzarote on November 7 with a new event dedicated to electronic music at the emblematic Castillo de San José, in Arrecife. The event will once again bring together artists of international projection and representatives of the local scene in a proposal that connects music, culture, and the island's environment, consolidating the trajectory of a project that seeks to offer a different experience within the cultural calendar of the Canary Islands. Tickets are available through the website www.emecfestival.com. The exhibition is sponsored by Centros turísticos de Lanzarote, Arrecife City Council, Cabildo de Lanzarote, Turismo Lanzarote, Promotur, and the Government of the Canary Islands.

Since its inception, EMEC—an acronym for Ecology, Music, Electronics, and Culture—has developed a concept that transcends the traditional festival format. Its proposal combines a musical program linked to current electronic trends with its own identity, tied to culture and commitment to the environment. The Castillo de San José, one of the most recognizable heritage sites in Arrecife, once again serves as the setting for this gathering, which places music in dialogue with the landscape and cultural identity of Lanzarote.

The lineup for this edition will be headlined by Marco Faraone, Chelina Manuhutu, De La Swing, Francisco Allendes, and Vito (UK), five names representing different facets of the contemporary electronic scene. The artistic selection proposes a day marked by club rhythms, DJ sets, and the diversity of sounds that coexist in international electronic music circuits.

Marco Farone will be at Emec Festival

Among the protagonists is Marco Faraone, an Italian DJ and producer linked to the international techno and house scene, recognized for a career that combines his own productions and performances in clubs and festivals in various countries. Alongside him will be Chelina Manuhutu, a Dutch artist who has developed an international career in house and tech house, with sets characterized by her energy and connection with the dance floor.

The lineup also includes De La Swing, a name associated with the Spanish electronic scene and house and tech house sounds, with a career linked to reference clubs and events. Francisco Allendes, a Chilean DJ and producer based on the international circuit, will contribute his proposal within electronic dance music, while Vito (UK) will complete the international selection for this edition.

The festival also maintains its commitment to the participation of artists linked to the local scene. Dustyfoldr and Iva Dive will be part of the proximity talent section, reinforcing the presence of creators who contribute to the development of electronic culture in the Canary Islands. Iva Dive's participation takes on special significance in this edition, as her presence on the lineup comes after winning the DJ Contest, an initiative that allows for the incorporation of new proposals into the programming and offers visibility to those seeking to make their way in the sector.

This combination of international artists and local talent is part of EMEC's identity, which proposes a meeting space between different trajectories and musical sensibilities. The programming thus seeks to connect the public with contemporary electronic trends and, at the same time, contribute to the projection of the Canarian scene, favoring its presence in an event that brings together different origins and styles.

Sustainability is another of the festival's conceptual pillars, in line with the philosophy reflected in its very name. The relationship between music, culture, and the environment is part of the project's identity, which places the island environment as a central element of its proposal. On an island recognized for its natural and landscape heritage, this perspective connects the celebration of cultural events with the importance of preserving the values that distinguish the territory.

With the production of GreenWorld and the support of entities linked to the cultural and tourist promotion of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, EMEC faces this new edition with the aim of continuing to develop a proposal that combines electronic music, external projection, and local participation. The festival will thus return to the Castillo de San José on November 7, with an international lineup and a prominent presence of local artists, in an event that aims to continue strengthening Lanzarote's role within the Archipelago's electronic scene.
