Good music hooks you and if it's performed live by a talented and charismatic artist, even more so. Elvis Crespo gave this Saturday a memorable performance before more than five thousand people in Playa Blanca, singing iconic lyrics from his discography like Suavemente, Tu sonrisa or Píntame, and that's what the New Yorker singer of Puerto Rican origin did, paint a lot of merengue, international hits from the late nineties that never go out of style and more recent songs, in an hour and a half of concert where he didn't stop singing and dancing.

Wrapped by a splendid orchestra and the energy of the group of dancers, Elvis Crespo captivated the audience of Playa Blanca with his unmistakable voice within merengue and the scenic force of his live performance.

The south of Lanzarote experienced a night inspired by merengue with Elvis's own songs and other songs by Colombian artists of the stature of Joe Arroyo, also with music seasoned in the Caribbean, to which Elvis knows how to put his particular stamp to make people enjoy. The audience was quick to sing, follow his choruses and move their hips.

The artist invited people from the audience to the stage to be part of his show, up to two occasions, and went down to the security pit to get closer to his fans before saying goodbye to a standing ovation.

The performance by Elvis Crespo in Playa Blanca also leaves a pass for the organization and a pass for the carnival esplanade, in front of the Princesa Yaiza hotel. The experience shows that it is a spacious and comfortable place with capacity to host large shows, where the public can enjoy peacefully the performance, where the food stalls have their well-defined area and where access to public restrooms is much easier.

On behalf of the municipality of Yaiza, the mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Festivities, Daniel Medina, thank the public for their response and behavior to this joint effort between the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers and Turismo Lanzarote, and the Yaiza Town Council, entities that made possible the performance of a music great in Lanzarote's first tourist hub. Yaiza also thanks the Local Police, Civil Guard, Lanzarote Firefighters, Civil Protection and all security and emergency forces who worked on preventive citizen security services.
