El Torrelavega, Gold Medal of the Canary Islands 2025

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of La Sociedad Torrelavega

The Torrelavega culture, recreation and sports society has been awarded the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands 2025. Founded in 1944, it has been responsible for promoting culture and tradition in Lanzarote for more than eight decades.

In the words of its president, Toñín Ramos, "we are all excited and happy to see how the Government of the Canary Islands has recognized the work of the Torrelavega Society in all these years that it has done a job with the world of culture and the customs of our town."

El Torrelavega expresses its gratitude to all the institutions, entities, groups and associations that have supported the society to be recognized with this award. The Gold Medal of the Canary Islands will be presented to Torrelavega on May 30, Canary Islands Day.
