El Cribo visits the Timanfaya National Park for Christmas

The users, workers, volunteers and Board of Directors, spent an endearing day seeing the restaurant 'El Diablo', the 'Valle del Silencio', the 'Islote de Hilario' and the tourist area of Costa Teguise

The El Cribo mental health association took a break on Wednesday on the occasion of the Christmas holidays and organized an excursion in which the users, workers, volunteers and Board of Directors participated, who took a guided tour of the Timanfaya National Park.

A place where, surprised by the vapors given off by the geysers, they were able to enjoy contact with the hot rofe that was deposited in the hands of the most daring. What powerfully caught their attention was the oven in which some grills of chicken thighs and chops were being roasted at that moment, which they could later enjoy by going to the dining room of the 'El Diablo' restaurant, from where they observed a spectacular landscape.

Another of the places that impressed the users was the visit to the 'Valley of Silence', a very significant moment and where they paid a lot of attention when the bus stopped and they witnessed a silence that was totally sepulchral. After the visit to the 'Islote de Hilario', the expedition went to the 'Visitor and Interpretation Center', where through the exhibition and an audiovisual program complementing the vision of the Timanfaya National Park, a therapy that was very interesting for the entire expedition in general.

Once the visit was over, they headed to the tourist area of Costa Teguise where they enjoyed a buffet lunch as a finishing touch to a very special day on the occasion of Christmas. An endearing day taking into account the important work done by the association, especially the managers and volunteers, who treat the users with great affection.
