The Lanzarote Film Exhibition continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark cultural event in the Canary Islands and throughout Spain, both for its relevance within the audiovisual field and for its contribution to the local economy and its capacity to generate reflection around the great challenges of our time.

In 2025, with water as the central theme, the project once again placed Lanzarote in a prominent place in the cultural and social debate, articulating a proposal that united cinema, thought, and territory and that once again projected the uniqueness of the island within and outside the archipelago.

According to the media impact report prepared by Onclusive, a global leader in media measurement and analysis, the latest edition of the Film Exhibition reached a value of 2,886,760 euros in media coverage, a fact that confirms its notable relevance in the regional, national, and international spheres.

To the 3,500 people attending the activities developed in the seven municipalities of the island and in La Graciosa were added, in addition, 6,000 spectators through the collaboration that the Muestra de Cine maintains each year with Televisión Canaria.

Beyond its media repercussion, the Film Exhibition once again translated into a direct and concrete impact on the economy of the islands. 82% of the total expenditure of the event was executed in Canarias and, of that amount, 68% remained in Lanzarote, thus contributing to the strengthening of the local business fabric and the economic revitalization of the archipelago. In 2025, a total of 247 Canarian companies participated, of which 203 were from Lanzarote, which evidences the strong insular implementation of the project and its capacity to activate diverse economic sectors.

In the words of Javier Fuentes Feo, project director: “These data reflect, once again, something that remains unknown to a large part of the citizenry: cultural projects are capable of strengthening and diversifying the local economy at the same time that they foster knowledge, learning, and a sense of community. We are pleased to confirm that a very significant part of the resources mobilized by the project has an impact on Canarias and, very especially, on Lanzarote”.
