Costa Teguise hosted the traditional Santa Claus parade last Tuesday afternoon, an event now consolidated within the municipality's Christmas program, which brought together numerous families on Las Cucharas Avenue.

The parade, led by the batucada band Menuda Caña, paraded down the main tourist street accompanied by stilt walkers, themed dancers, dance schools, and a wide representation of Disney characters, including Mickey, Minnie, and the princesses from the Teguise musical.

The procession culminated in the Las Cucharas amphitheater, where Santa Claus welcomed the little ones, who could sit on his lap and share their wishes for these holidays. At the end of the parade, the show The Great Concert of Illusion took place, a musical performance with a live band, singers, and narration, which conveyed a message of peace and hope through carols and Christmas songs, reinforcing the festive and family atmosphere of the afternoon.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, highlighted that "this type of initiative allows our streets to come alive during these special dates, offering meeting spaces for families and reinforcing the Christmas spirit in all the towns of the municipality".

For his part, the Councilor for Festivals, Andoni Machín, pointed out that "the Santa Claus parade is one of the most anticipated events for the children of the municipality, and each year we work to make the program more attractive, with the participation of local groups and shows designed for all audiences."Furthermore, as is tradition, on Wednesday night, the Royal Town of Teguise will host the staging of the Mystery of the Birth of Jesus at the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, starting at 11:00 PM, with performances by Rancho Chico and Rancho de Pascuas de Teguise, followed by the celebration of the Eucharist, one of the most emblematic events of Christmas Eve in the municipality.

The Teguise City Council invites residents and visitors to continue enjoying the Christmas program prepared for these holidays, designed for all ages and to keep the municipality's traditions alive.
