The town of Caleta de Famara experienced this Sunday one of the most anticipated moments of its festivities in honor of the Sacred Heart of Mary, bringing together dozens of parishioners in the celebration.
At 12:00 noon, the solemn mass was celebrated in the town's church, where residents and visitors paid tribute to the patron saint.
After the Eucharist, the image of the Sacred Heart of Mary toured the streets in the traditional maritime-terrestrial procession, combining religious fervor with the seafaring identity of Famara. The boat with the image sailed along the coast while the faithful accompanied from land, in an emotional encounter between tradition and devotion.
The tour was enlivened by the music of the Municipal Band of Teguise, Teguiband, which brought a festive and solemn atmosphere to the day.
