With the celebration of the concert 'Neighborhoods with Charm', Argana Alta closed the extensive program of events on the occasion of the festivities in honor of Our Lady María Auxiliadora.

At 8:30 p.m. last Friday at the soco of the Palacio de los Deportes, the first musical chords began to sound, carried out by three great musicians from Lanzarote, Acorán Ramos on bass, José Vicente Pérez, timple and contra, Adrián Niz on guitar. After this introduction, the public was able to enjoy a magnificent concert starring two great voices from the Canary Islands, Manuel Estupiñán and Ciro Corujo.

A one-on-one that throughout the concert maintained its strong and clear vocal registers until the end, with a devoted audience that did not stop applauding each of their interventions, taking a trip through different countries, choosing the most representative, compositions that are part of the popular and international songbook to which the new generations are merging without losing an iota of originality.

Ciro and Manolo chose well-known songs such as Volver, Recuerdos del ayer, Toda una vida, Sombras del Nublo or Pinar de Tamadaba, these last two composed by a reference of Canarian popular music such as Néstor Álamo. In the concert 'Neighborhoods with Charm', the traditional Canarian song could not be missing and, winking at it, Manolo and Ciro invited the young Lanzarote native and resident of Argana Alta, Nilsa Álvarez Machín, who was among the public, to share with them.

Nilsa Álvarez has impressive voice registers that allow her to interpret all kinds of genres and forming a magnificent trio they performed a folía, a malagueña and ended with an isa parrandera. Nilsa not only took the applause of the public but also that of Ciro and Manuel, who were amazed by the qualities of the young woman when standing in front of a microphone.

During the concert, some short sound clips were played with brief historical reviews based on the old Port of Arrecife and the Argana Alta neighborhood. With parrandero airs, the finishing touch was put to a very special night as the closing of the festivities in honor of Our Lady María Auxiliadora in Argana Alta.
