Arieta celebrates its Carmen festivities this weekend. The Haría City Council, through the Department of Festivities, coordinated by Alberto de León, in collaboration with the Arrieta Festivities Commission, has designed an extensive program of activities for the festivities, which take place in honor of Our Lady of Carmen and include more than twenty events aimed at audiences of all ages.
From the Government group, the entire population of the municipality is invited to participate in these festivities that represent the identity of the municipality, while serving as a meeting point for residents and visitors. In addition, the effort made by the Arrieta Festivities Commission and its collaboration with the Festivities Area of the City Council is highlighted.
The program includes activities for children and families, raffles, cultural activities, workshops, games, sports tournaments and musical performances. In addition, the Cabildo de Lanzarote has enabled a special bus service for the weekend of July 28 and 29.
Thus, Line 9, which makes the Haría-Arrecife route, will make a trip in the early morning from Friday to Saturday, at 4.15 am and from Saturday to Sunday at 00.15 am. The bus stop will be located next to the supermarket.
The program will continue until next Sunday, July 30 and will feature a wide range of activities for all ages.

Thursday, July 27
- 6:00 PM. Gofio and liquor contest at the CSC La Garita.
- 6:00 PM. Tardeando. Young Social Action at the Sin Edad center in La Garita.
- 9:00 PM. Fight between Married and Single.
- 9:00 PM. Popular barbecue memorial 'Pilar María Villalba Cabrera' by the Festivities Commission. Burning of "El Costero" and performance by the Haría Folklore School and the Los Valles and Son del Norte bands.
Friday, July 28
- 12:00 PM. Table games for adults at the Sin Edad center.
- 5:00 PM. Inclusive children's games at the CSC La Garita.
- 6:00 PM. Aquathlon at La Garita beach.
- 6:30 PM. Guateque at the CSC La Garita.
- 7:00 PM. Draw and start of the Ronda championship at the CSC La Garita
- 9:00 PM. Musical performance with Kilombo Improvisado in La Garita. Then: Popular Verbena with Banda Nueva and Rikabanda.
Saturday, July 29
- 10:00 AM. Cleaning of La Garita beach and environmental talk.
- 5:30 PM. Draw and start of the Chinchón and Cinquillo championship at the CSC La Garita
- 12:00 – 00:00 hours Van-Life 3 in La Garita.
- 12:00 PM. Collective Photocall mural for children and adults.
- 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Van exhibition.
