A total of 3,000 spectators enjoyed the XIII edition of the International Circus Festival 'MalabHaría', which was held from January 2 to 4 in the northern municipality and which recorded "sold out" in each of the shows that were staged both in the Plaza de Haría and in the Sports Hall, according to the City Council.

The companies Gropcirco, Xampatito, Kicirke and El Fedito delighted the public, both children and adults, through large-format shows in which they combined circus, theater, clown and juggling of the highest quality.

Gran Dimitri was once again in charge of hosting the closing gala, which featured a cast of top-level artists such as the television Kuko Clown, the juggling shows of Thomas Hoeltzel, the vertical rope of Alfa Marks Alfa or the balancing ball of Eleni Anastasaki. The great farewell night closed with the show of Lorenzo Mastropietro and his hats, the impressive aerial frame number of Dúo Two Filles and the 'mano a mano' of Dúo Vitalys.

Awards

As every year, different awards were presented at the end of the show. Thus, the public's recognition went to the company Xampatito, with its show 'SO', while the 'Malabart' award for the best number of the gala was this time for Rebecca Renninson and Dúo Vitalys. Finally, the 'MalabHaría 2020' award went to Issac Flix, rigger of the Festival.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlighted "the great reception and growth of an event that inaugurates the cultural calendar in the Islands, and that has become, on its own merits, a benchmark for circus festivals at a national level", while thanking the effort and involvement of all the people who make it possible year after year.
