A young man faces thirteen and a half years in prison for forcing and raping a minor in Yaiza

The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try the young man A.C.C. on November 11 in Gran Canaria, accused of sexually assaulting and beating his cousin's daughter, a minor, in a home in Las Breñas, in the municipality of Yaiza.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the events took place in February 2024, when the minor, who was under sixteen years of age, was sleeping in her room in a house in Las Breñas.The Prosecutor's Office accuses him of waking her up, under the pretext of asking her to get tobacco from her brother and asking for a kiss. Faced with the victim's refusal, the accused allegedly grabbed her tightly by the arms, took her to the bedroom, pulled her hair, threw her on the bed, and removed her clothes.

At that moment, he allegedly licked her genitals and groped her, forced her to touch his penis, rubbed it against her breasts, and forced her to perform fellatio.

Faces thirteen and a half years in prison for raping a minor

The Prosecutor's Office is requesting a prison sentence of thirteen and a half years for the defendant, who is 22 years old, along with absolute disqualification during the sentence and a prohibition from approaching the victim, their place of study, or any other location where they may be found within 500 meters for six years, once the prison sentence is served. Additionally, for the crime of assault, a fine of approximately 360 euros is requested.The Public Prosecutor's Office requests that the defendant be sentenced to eight years of special disqualification from exercising parental authority over his children. In addition to ten years of supervised release and twenty years of disqualification from exercising any profession, whether paid or not, that involves regular contact with minors.In addition, he will have to compensate the victim with 2,000 euros for the injuries suffered and another 10,000 for the moral damages caused
