The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try three defendants accused of introducing "considerable" amounts of cocaine into Lanzarote for subsequent distribution on the island next November 25 in Arrecife.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses N.J.Z.U., Y.N.H., and J.S.V.A. of allegedly collaborating stably with each other to introduce drugs into Spain and distribute them on the island

A flight with almost 100,000 euros of cocaine

The Prosecutor's Office points out that on January 12, 2018, a Ryanair plane from Madrid arrived at Lanzarote Airport with M.F.R.G. on board. Thus, it indicates that the convicted person was carrying a plastic bag with half a kilo of cocaine camouflaged in his crotch, which could reach up to 55,000 euros on the illicit market.

Also traveling on that same flight was the accused M.M.A.A., who was carrying 481 grams of cocaine, with a value of 49,550 euros on the illicit market, and who was also convicted for these acts.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses N.Z.U. and J.S.V.A. of allegedly devising and organizing the transport of the narcotic substance carried out by the convicted M.F.R.G. and M.M.A.A. between Madrid and Lanzarote. The Prosecutor's Office assures that both would have provided the narcotic substance to the already convicted individuals in a street in Leganés (Madrid) for them to bring it to the island.

The Prosecutor's Office states that N.Z.U. allegedly handed over 25.3 grams of cocaine to the accused Y.N.H. in Cuenca for 2,571 euros. When Y.N.H. was arrested, he was carrying 386 euros, which were seized. To this end, the Prosecutor's Office claims that the alleged collaboration of V.A.V.D. and D.F.B.S. was necessary, as they were based in Lanzarote at the time of the events, and for whom no charges are being brought as they are missing and a warrant is out for their arrest.

After the Court of Instruction number 4 of Arrecife authorized the entry into two properties of the accused in Villaverde and Leganés, both in Madrid, they found in the home of N.Z.U. cocaine, ketamine, Zolpidem, Sildenafil, lidocaine, levamisole, tetracaine, caffeine and levamisole, plastic bags with chips and pieces of white substances, acetone, caffeine, tetracaine and different devices, as well as a syringe and 4,000 euros in fifty-euro bills. The seized drugs amounted to a value of more than 6,500 euros.

The accused N.Z.U. remained in prison between October 2018 and April 2019 for these events. Meanwhile, in the case of J.S.V.A.'s home, they located 710 euros in cash and 564 euros in cocaine.

Penalties of up to eight years in prison

The Prosecutor's Office accuses N.J.Z.U. and J.S.V.A. of being responsible for a crime against public health in the form of a substance that causes serious harm to health, in a significant quantity, and requests eight years in prison for them, disqualification from exercising passive suffrage for the duration of the sentence, and a fine of 343,900 euros. In the case of both, who are of Colombian nationality, it requests that the sentence be fully served in Spain to ensure the defense of the legal order.

Meanwhile, he accuses Y.N.H. of a crime against public health and requests five years and two months in prison, disqualification for the duration of the sentence, and a fine of 7,713.87 euros. He requests that the prison sentence be replaced by a ban from entering the country for five years, once two-thirds of the sentence has been served on national territory
