The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will judge next Wednesday, September 17 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, A.O.M., a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor in a call center in Lanzarote.
The events took place at 2:20 p.m. on September 30, 2023. According to the Prosecutor's Office's indictment, the owner of this call center, located in Arrecife, allegedly touched the buttocks, grabbed the hips and kissed the neck of a 15-year-old girl, who was shopping at the establishment.
The Public Prosecutor's Office classifies the events as a crime of sexual assault against a minor under 16 years of age.
For this crime, the Ministry is asking for the accused five years in prison, disqualification from the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence, the prohibition of approaching the victim within 300 meters, including her municipality, place of work and any other place frequented by her for six years.
In addition, it adds six years of supervised release after the custodial sentence and the penalty of special disqualification for any profession, trade or activities with minors, whether or not they are distributed by others for ten years.
Finally, the accused must compensate the victim with 6,000 euros for moral damage.
