The Government of Spain registers 827 migrant minors, who become its responsibility

From now on, the circumstances of each minor will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis so that they can be relocated "as soon as possible", according to the spokesman for the Canary Islands executive, Alfonso Cabello.

The Government of Spain has informed the Canary Islands Executive this Monday that it has proceeded to register the first 827 unaccompanied migrant minors with the right to asylum in the International Protection Reception System and they become the responsibility of the State as a whole.

As detailed by the spokesman for the island Executive, Alfonso Cabello, in the press conference after the Autonomous Government Council, from now on the circumstances of each minor will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis so that they can be "redistributed as soon as possible", as requested by the government led by Fernando Clavijo (CC).
