The four people arrested for the brawl last Saturday in Arrecife have been released after a quick trial this Monday, as reported by the Court's Communication Office to La Voz. The four detainees, of Colombian and Maghreb nationality, were between 20 and 30 years old.
Specifically, the case for two of the detainees has been dismissed, while the other two have been sentenced to fines for mass brawling as they are in agreement with the facts.
The events took place at around 01:35 hours in the vicinity of Luis Fajardo Ferrer street, corner with the well-known Manolo Millares, and as can be seen in the video, one of those involved was carrying a large knife. According to La Provincia, the fight left several people injured who received medical assistance, but, in principle, none of them were serious.
A National Police patrol went to the scene, although according to witnesses, those involved had already left the scene when the officers arrived, approximately ten minutes after the events.
For their part, residents are outraged because this situation is experienced many weekends and are asking for more control in the leisure areas of the capital of Lanzarote.
