The Investigating Court number 2 of Arrecife, acting as duty court, has agreed this Saturday to the provisional release without bail of the four men who were arrested last Thursday in connection with the entry and search of the cannabis club in Arrecife, La Oveja Verde.
According to reports from the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), they are allegedly charged with committing a crime against public health related to the alleged sale of hashish and marijuana. The four defendants are of Spanish nationality and their initials are J.C.P.D., J.I.R.P.D., Y.L.L. and J.P.P.
It should be remembered that the operation was carried out by agents of the Judicial Brigade of the National Police and the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit (USCI) by court order and that, according to sources close to the police, it was under summary secrecy.
In recent months, this cannabis club located on Peñas del Chache street in the capital, had been the subject of neighborhood complaints about the "unbearable" smell of marijuana that they claimed was coming from the premises and, according to La Voz, also had an open file in the Arrecife City Council for other alleged breaches.
