The Court of Violence against Children and Adolescents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has ordered this Monday provisional prison for attempted homicide and injuries for the young man accused of setting fire to a 17-year-old girl in the neighborhood of La Isleta, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands.
After testifying for about two hours, after last Friday extended his detention pending medical and police reports clarifying the circumstances of the event that occurred in the early morning of July 16, Magistrate Tomás Martín has agreed to communicated prison without bail for the young Abarrafía H., 20 years old and of Moroccan nationality.
The minor suffered serious burns and remains admitted to the Burn Unit of Seville.
