The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try B.G.V.Z. next week in Lanzarote, a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a party in a house located in a residential area of Playa Blanca, in Yaiza.

The events took place at 11:00 p.m. on the night of June 23, 2021, when the accused organized a party with several friends in the coastal town.

According to the Prosecutor's Office's indictment, B.G.V.Z. allegedly accompanied the victim to one of the rooms, which was on the first floor of the house.

The woman was dizzy and under the influence of alcohol. The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses him of taking advantage of the fact that the woman was not fully conscious to allegedly undress her, lick her genitals and penetrate her with a finger, against her will.

The Prosecutor's Office classifies the events as a crime of sexual assault and asks for the accused eight years in prison, disqualification from the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence and ten years of supervised release, in which the accused must undergo a sexual education course.

To which is added, 15 years of special disqualification to exercise any profession, trade or activity that involves regular contact with minors, whether paid or not, and in the same period, the prohibition of approaching less than 500 meters from the victim, her home, her employment or another place frequented with her.

Thus, it adds compensation of 20,000 euros in respect of civil liability.
