The Court of First Instance number 4 of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has summoned four officers of the Canary Islands Police as investigated parties who had been reported for workplace harassment by a colleague.
A detail that has been confirmed by the General Directorate of Security of the Government of the Canary Islands, which has opened a reserved inquiry after receiving the judicial summons on January 10 and which, due to their content, have been transferred from the Planning Unit of the Canary Islands Police to Internal Affairs.
This latter unit proposed on the 13th to open a reserved inquiry to gather information.
In a statement, the Ministry of the Presidency indicates that since it is a complaint filed by an agent of the force against colleagues and with the information available so far, the transfer of the officers to another unit will be ordered, as well as the guarantee that they will not coincide with the complainant during the same shifts.
In the event that the reported facts took place during the provision of service, the Government of the Canary Islands will study the possibility of intervening in the case.
