The Department of Employment of the Cabildo de Lanzarote continues to promote training with professional opportunities and offering opportunities for unemployed residents on the island to quickly reintegrate into the labor market, reports the Island Government.
In this line, and during the month of June, it will launch a training program for stage assistants for shows, which will be completely free. "This is a unique opportunity for those interested in acquiring the skills required to work in the field of events and shows," as stated by the acting Minister of Employment, Jorge Peñas.
This course, which will begin on June 15, will offer participants the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to work as stage assistants. Through theoretical and practical training, they will learn about fundamental topics such as sound theory, processing and filtering, wiring, acoustic generators, input transducers and microphones, mixers, amplification, output transducers, the bolo, handling, storage and transportation of equipment, electricity, infrastructure and basic lighting, among other things.
In addition, the program offers the possibility of job placement once the training is completed. This means that participants will have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in the workplace and take their first steps in the sector, it reports.
"Prior interview and priority to the unemployed"
Participation in the course will require a selection process, which will include a prior interview with the aim of evaluating the interest and motivation of the candidates. Although no specific prior requirements are required, priority will be given to unemployed people.
