The Canary Islands Wine Tourism Cluster has announced the incorporation of Bodegas Rubicón, one of Lanzarote's historic wineries, located in the heart of the protected landscape of La Geria.

Thus, there are now four Lanzarote wineries that are part of the group for the development and consolidation of wine tourism as a strategic product with high added value for the archipelago. Previously, Bodega El Grifo, Bodega La Geria, and Bodega Olivina had joined.

The Cluster defines Bodegas Rubicón as "a benchmark of traditional Lanzarotean viticulture and contemporary interpretation of the volcanic territory," located in the protected area of La Geria, one of the most unique agricultural landscapes in the world.

It also highlights tat it is "closely linked to the conservation and enhancement of Lanzarote's wine heritage, developing an enological activity that combines respect for traditional practices with current criteria of quality, sustainability, and market projection.

""The winery combines respect for historical winemaking practices with current production processes, resulting in wines that authentically express Lanzarote's identity," the statement elaborates. In addition to its winemaking activities, Bodegas Rubicón has consolidated a comprehensive wine tourism offering that includes winery tours, wine tastings, gastronomic experiences, and dining spaces fully integrated into the La Geria landscape.

The Canary Islands Wine Tourism Cluster particularly values this incorporation "for what it represents in terms of positioning, trajectory, and visitor attraction capacity, reinforcing Lanzarote's presence within the network and contributing a key asset for the national and international projection of the Canary Islands' wine tourism destination".

The integration of Bodegas Rubicón contributes to "expanding and diversifying the wine tourism offering of the archipelago, joining a business fabric that works in a coordinated manner to promote a sustainable, differentiated, and territory-linked wine tourism model".
