The owners who rent a home on the coast of the Canary archipelago during the months of July and August obtain on average 7,872 euros, according to data provided by the real estate portal pisos.com.
That amount is equivalent to 61% of what you would get if you rented it all year round as a residential rental in one of the capitals of the archipelago.
Even more bulky is the result of holiday homes in July and August in other parts of Spain with respect to what they would obtain with residential rental.
Tourist rentals only in July and August on the Costa Brava in the province of Girona generate on average 12,392 euros, while a similar home in the city of Girona would generate 13,446 rented all year round.
Meanwhile, on the Balearic coast, a holiday home gets on average 20,392 euros adding what was obtained in July and August, while for a similar home in Palma de Mallorca rented all year round you would get 20,711 euros.
On the Costa de la Luz, in the province of Huelva, the two summer months generate 7,216 euros, while the same apartment in the capital of the province would obtain 8,866 for a residential rental all year round.
