The average daily expenditure per tourist in Lanzarote during 2023 amounted to 167.6 euros, according to the Lanzarote Data Center based on the Tourist Expenditure Survey of the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).
The average amount per day in 2023 is equivalent to a 4.1% increase in spending compared to the previous year, when it was 160.7 euros.
This meager growth contrasts with the increase experienced in 2022 when tourist spending on the island increased by 12.5% from the 140.5 euros spent on average per day in 2021.
The largest portion of tourist spending is allocated to accommodation. The average tourist spent 74.2 euros per night on this concept last year.
Next, they spent an average of 57.6 euros on transportation, while spending on food amounted to 23.5 euros.
Finally, the average tourist in Lanzarote spent 7.1 euros daily on recreational activities and 4.5 euros on shopping.
