The CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, has taken stock after the participation of a delegation from the entity in the recently concluded International Tourism Fair of Madrid (Fitur), stating that it leaves "excellent prospects" for 2022.
The 2022 edition, according to the organizers, has brought together "more than 100,000 visitors and has generated a business volume of more than 150 million euros.”
“There has been a change compared to the last two editions. There was more dynamism, more enthusiasm”, explained Perdomo, who added that “you could feel the enormous desire of the destinations to return to normality after the pandemic”.
“It was time to show the world the work we have done during the last two years to help improve the positioning of a destination that values sustainability and excellence as instruments to improve the quality of life of the people of this island”, they point out from the Tourist Centers.
As they explain, the agenda was focused “on improving existing agreements with different agents in the sector and the online marketing strategy for their products”. They also point out that the meetings held with those responsible for ‘Get your guide’, one of the most established sales platforms in the European market, with which different lines were addressed to boost the products of the Tourist Centers, are part of this line.
The delegation in Fitur also met with ‘Tiqets’, a Dutch platform focused on the European market, and with ‘Actividadex’, a page based in the national market that seeks to make the leap to the Canarian market with the help of the Tourist Centers.
Likewise, the Tourist Centers team held meetings with those responsible for the Fred Olsen shipping company, as well as with ‘Hotelbeds’, in which formulas were explored to “improve the existing collaboration through the creation of new specific products for the clients of both agents”.
In addition, in a meeting with ‘General Dinamics’, the guidelines for the work of an incentive group that this wholesale agency will move to Lanzarote next March were established.
The Lanzarote delegation also held a meeting with those responsible for ‘Mastercard’, to advance “in a pilot project that will be carried out in the Tourist Centers”.
Finally, the Tourist Centers team met with those responsible for the Masters Studies Center in order to analyze a training proposal “very interesting and attractive for our kitchen professionals".
