The César Manrique de Lanzarote airport registered 703,457 passengers in January, 0.3% more than during the same month in 2025.
The airports of Canarias recorded in January 2026 a total of 4,592,312 passengers, 0.1% more than the same month last year.
Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,572,756 correspond to commercial flight passengers, of which 1,583,175 flew on domestic routes, 2% less than in January 2025, and 2,989,581 on international routes, 1.8% more.
On the other hand, 40,430 aircraft movements were registered and 2,619 tons of cargo were transported.
The Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers, with 1,398,924, representing a 2.1% increase compared to January 2025.
They are followed by the airports of Tenerife Sur with 1,275,134 passengers (-1%); César Manrique-Lanzarote with 703,457 (+0.3%); Fuerteventura with 533,137 (-3%); Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna with 525,988 (+1.1%); La Palma with 125,063 (-0.9%); El Hierro with 21,629 (-5.3%) and La Gomera Airport with 8,980 passengers (-1.4%).
The airports of the Aena Group (composed of 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London-Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) have closed the first month of 2026 with 25,830,159 passengers; 3.3% more than in the same month of 2025; they managed 221,194 aircraft movements, 0.7% less than in 2025; and transported 115,876 tons, 7.1% more than in the same month last year.
