By Canarian municipalities, the hotels in the Tenerife town of Adeje usually have the highest prices in the Canary Islands month after month, with rates exceeding 200 euros per night, especially during the winter.

But the hotels in Yaiza, which are generally the second most expensive, are not far behind and again managed to surpass those in Adeje in price last July, according to data provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in its latest hotel conjuncture survey.

In the south of Lanzarote, hotel prices increased by 3.21% in July compared to last year, with the average rate reaching 165.8 euros.

Meanwhile, in Adeje, prices fell by 1.49% compared to last year, so the average hotel rate was 164.79 euros.

The last time the hotels in Yaiza surpassed those in Adeje was in September of last year.

However, the tourist stay increased slightly in Adeje, from 6.94 to 7.1 days, while it decreased in Yaiza, where it went from 7.6 days last year to 7.26 this July.

For their part, the establishments in the other two tourist spots in Lanzarote, Teguise and Tías, increased their prices by 9% and 3.2% respectively compared to July of last year.

Thus, the hotel rate reached 126.51 euros in Teguise, while in Tías it was 136.48 euros.

The duration of stays also fell in these Lanzarote municipalities. The one that decreased the most was that of Tías, which went from 7.97 days in July 2024 to 7.48 days last month, while in Teguise the decrease was minimal, from 7.4 to 7.38 days.
