The tourist apartments of Teguise and Tías presented an occupancy of 86.4% and 84.9% respectively in October, the highest occupancy among all the tourist municipalities in Spain, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The apartments in the municipality of Yaiza did not achieve third place by the minimum, since with an occupancy of 83.8% it was surpassed by the city of Seville, which achieved 84.8%.
Lanzarote as a whole achieved 84.6% occupancy in its tourist apartments, the best mark among the Canary Islands and only surpassed in Spain by the occupancy of the Barcelona coast, where 87.4% of the apartments were occupied.
After Lanzarote, the island with the highest occupancy was Fuerteventura with 78.9% of its tourist apartments occupied.
Next, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, where occupancy was 77.5% and 69.7% respectively.
In La Palma it reached 65.4%, while in La Gomera and El Hierro it remained at 44.3% and 41.9% respectively.
