The movement of travelers on the maritime connections of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has registered a strong increase last July compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the latest data from Puertos Canarios.
The maritime connection between Lanzarote and La Graciosa registered record figures during July. Never before had so many passengers arrived in La Graciosa in the seventh month of the year.
The port of Caleta del Sebo recorded a total of 86,341 passengers, representing an increase of 17.1% compared to the 73,697 travelers registered in July 2025. The majority of this flow corresponded to regular line passengers, which grew by 18.33% to reach 80,759 people.
For its part, Playa Blanca —the island's largest port— closed July with a negative balance in the overall count of people transiting. The southern facility registered 113,180 total passengers, which represents a decrease of 13.99% compared to the 131,586 users counted in July of last year.
The drop was mainly concentrated in non-regular and leisure tickets, which fell by almost 40% (from 5,200 to 3,148 people). However, the regular inter-island line held its ground and grew by 2.3%, reaching 110,032 passengers.
Despite the lower flow of people, the operation of luggage regime vehicles in Playa Blanca improved generally, as they increased by 2.9%, reaching 34,059 units transported compared to 33,096 in July of the previous year.
Specifically, cars increased by 4%, from 28,303 to 29,455 cars; motorcycles experienced an increase of 6.39%, reaching 466 units; and industrial vehicles decreased by 5% (from 4,292 to 4,075 units).
