The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, will participate from November 4 to 6 in a new edition of the World Travel Market in London, the most important professional event in the tourism sector internationally and the key meeting with the Island's main source market.

With an agenda marked by sustainability, innovation, and qualification of the British visitor, the island delegation faces this fair with the aim of consolidating the loyalty of the British market, which each year brings more than 1.3 million tourists, and at the same time access segments of greater added value, linked to nature, culture, gastronomy, and sports.

The work agenda will include meetings with the main UK tour operators, airlines, and online agencies, as well as an institutional meeting at British Airways' headquarters in London, aimed at strengthening connectivity and cooperation with one of the country's most prestigious airlines.

Likewise, Lanzarote, together with Calero Marinas and the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), will be the protagonist of a special action prior to the fair, within the framework of the RORC Transatlantic Race, which will serve to promote the island as a high-level nautical destination and strengthen ties with leading British entities.

During the World Travel Market, Turismo Lanzarote will also take the opportunity to present internationally the new edition of the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +30, which will be held on the island on November 28 and will bring together leading figures in tourism, sustainability, and innovation worldwide.

The presentation of this Charter to professionals and specialized media in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with Promotur Islas Canarias, will highlight Lanzarote's leadership as a pioneering destination in tourism sustainability.
