Between January and August, Lanzarote received 2.3 million tourists, more than ever before in its history and around 100,000 more travelers than during the same months of 2024.
Regarding 2015, ten years ago, the increase is about 400,000 tourists, according to data provided by the Lanzarote Data Center based on the latest Border Movement Statistics from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics.
By nationality, just over half of the 2.1 million international tourists who visited Lanzarote between January and August were British.
Next is the Irish market, from which 257,811 people arrived in the first eight months of the year.
The third position is for the national market, whose figures amount to 228,458 tourists.
From Germany and France, 193,158 and 162,025 tourists arrived, respectively, between January and August.
Next are Italy (58,793 visitors), the Netherlands (57,076), the group of Nordic countries (41,183), and Belgium (37,454).
From the rest of the countries in the world, a total of 107,922 people arrived in Lanzarote in the first eight months of the year.
