People over 65 already represent more than 21% of the population of the European Union, which directly influences tourism and the vacation destinations that this age group chooses to spend their holidays.

Lanzarote is one of the favorite destinations for retired European travelers, who have more free time and generally enjoy greater economic stability.

With a rating of 8.42 points, Lanzarote was the third most valued Spanish destination and obtained the twelfth position in Europe.

The island of Tenerife also entered the European top 20, occupying the 14th position after receiving a score of 8.38.
