CaixaBank and the real estate company Metrópolis have completed the sale of the company that owns the Grand Teguise Playa hotel, in Costa Teguise. The former owned 60% of the capital, while the latter owned the remaining 40%.

The company, called Inversiones Inmobiliarias Teguise, has been acquired by the hotel chain Alexandre, which has three other hotels in the Canary Islands, specifically in Tenerife: the Alexandre Hotel Gala, the Alexandre Hotel Troya and the Alexandre Hotel La Siesta, all in the Playa de las Américas area.

The Grand Teguise Playa is a four-star hotel with 300 rooms and is located on the beachfront of Costa Teguise. It also has a lagoon-style pool, gym, botanical garden and tennis court.

The company that bought the Grand Teguise Playa also owns, in addition to the establishments in the Canary Islands, two hotels in Barcelona, one next to the Congress Fair and another near the Prat airport.
