Lanzarote records the highest per tourist spending in the Canary Islands in the whole of 2025

The island of volcanoes closed the year with almost 200 euros of spending per tourist and day and managed to recover the data from the first half of the year

Lanzarote closed 2025 with an average spending per tourist per day for the whole year of 184 euros, the highest among the Canary Islands, according to figures provided by the Lanzarote Data Center based on the latest survey on tourist spending from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC). 

After Lanzarote, the island that achieved a higher spending per tourist and day last year was Tenerife, which reached 182.2 euros. 

Next, Gran Canaria (175.4 euros) and Fuerteventura (166.7 euros). The average spending for La Palma remained at 159 euros per tourist per day.

Attending to the quarters, Lanzarote was the first in spending during the second half of the year. In summer it reached 196.2 euros per person and day and in autumn it rose to 197.2 euros. 

Instead, in the first half of the year, Lanzarote's results were surpassed by Tenerife in the first three months and by Gran Canaria and Tenerife between April and June.

The first quarter of 2025 registered in Tenerife an expenditure of 187.7 euros compared to the 185.8 euros from Lanzarote in second place.

In the second quarter of the year, Lanzarote was third, with 154.6 euros per person and day, compared to Gran Canaria's 162.2 euros and Tenerife's 160.2 euros.
