Lanzarote receives more tourists than ever: 3.4 million in 2024

They total more than four million if the 600,000 cruise passengers who docked in Arrecife are included

The number of tourists arriving in Lanzarote every year continues to grow, despite the numerous voices in all areas of society that advocate for higher quality and less quantity tourism.

Last year, all arrival records were broken with 3,406,911 tourists arriving by air, which, added to the more than 600,000 cruise passengers who arrived in the capital of Lanzarote by sea, exceeded 4 million tourists. 

Compared to 2023, there are 300,000 more travelers staying in Lanzarote, and 100,000 more cruise passengers.  

In comparison with the data from ten years ago, those from 2014, there are 900,000 thousand more tourists and 250,000 additional cruise passengers

More than half of all tourists who visit Lanzarote, including domestic tourism, are already British. Last year, 1,724,460 British tourists landed on the island.

With 358,694 arrivals, Ireland is consolidated as the second tourist market for Lanzarote to the detriment of Germany, from where 349,450 people arrived. 

Next, the domestic tourism that accounted for 293,892 arrivals in 2024.
