Lanzarote Airport recorded 708,898 passengers during September, 0.3% more than last year, according to data provided by Aena.
Across all airports in the Canary Islands, there were 4,242,914 passengers, a 3.8% increase compared to the same month in 2024.
The Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers with 1,186,060, representing an increase of 6.2% compared to the same month in 2024.
Next is Tenerife South Airport, with 996,795 passengers (-0.1%); César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 708,898 passengers (+0.3%); Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 633,010 (+7.6%); Fuerteventura, with 556,869 (+7.8%); La Palma, with 121,409 (+1.8%); El Hierro, with 28,522 (-7.9%); and, La Gomera, with 11,351 passengers (+5.6%).
Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,219,296 correspond to passengers on commercial flights, of which 1,955,603 traveled on domestic flights, 5% more than in September of last year, and 2,263,693 on international flights, 2.5% more than in the same month of 2024.
In addition, 38,638 aircraft movements were managed, with an increase of 2.9%, and 2,918 tons of goods were transported, 13.1% more than in the previous September.
So far this year, Canary Islands airports have registered 40,644,596 travelers, 4.9% more than in the same period of 2024.
Of the 40,404,864 commercial passengers, 16,949,586 traveled on domestic flights, a 5.2% increase, and 23,455,278 did so on international flights, a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
From January to September 2025, 360,393 aircraft movements were managed, 4.5% more, and 24,202 tons of transported goods were recorded, -0.2% less than in 2024.
